The good news is it solves the problems created with version 3.042.040. Mucking with the registry yourself is not recomended as the entries contain information about actial install.Īlso the fact that the removal of 2.63 does not clean up the registry settings in the first place is a very poor programming practice. This is dangourous and unless you have a copy of one aready the method I posted above is a simpler and more controlled fix. Wait for an official fix.' I have to disagree with you on the registry edits. My advise is, if you know what you are doing with registry edits, then you can easily reproduce what I have done.Īnd if you do not, then playing around in the registry can have consequences. If they are absent then this feature will not work. If you know your way around the registry then do a search for entries containing ' Mach4.Document'. However a large proportion of users will not have a Vectric CAM program running on their machine control computer at the same time as Mach3. (in fact all Vectric programs) All programs will output gcode directly to a running instance of Mach3. This issue is relevant to both Cut2D and Vcarve Pro. Especially since this particular problem is not something that directly affects Mach3. Quoted from Moderators post: '.Artsoft is in the middle of a new version development phase and I would not expect a fix from them any time soon. But one of the Moderators there clearly mentioned that there is no plan to do anything very soon. The topic has been discussed many times in Mach3 forum. Send Artsoft an email stating you want a fix for this problem.
For that matter they could come out with a patch and post it on thier web site. All that said this is a very simple fix for artsoft (MACH3 developer). Kyeakel: Vectric Apprentice: Posts: 67: Joined: Tue 2:42 pm: Location: Curwensville, PA: Model of CNC Machine: Camaster Stinger I.īy doing a backdoor fix you take the pressure of of Artsoft (Mach3 developer) to develop a propper fix. In the following picture, you can see some cracking in the pads, due to the mask peeling off, and/or the etchant working its way under it. As a developer I made provisions for this with I applied the entries. This means you cant uninstall these entries unless you manualy remove them.
The registry settings contain the GUID of the install base by the original installer. If you did not install your Mach3 in the default location (drive and directory) they will not work and would most likely break or ruin your chance to install the true fix.
There are a couple other issues as well when sharing registry settings. Please wait until an officially tested and released fix is available from Mach3. Get some of the numbers wrong or change an important variable, and it could result in a broken machine or damaged parts, which the customer may say was the suppliers fault because they had to go manually changing 'things'. Is it really harms the business for Cut2D or Mach3.?Having customers editing registry settings has the potential to seriously damage the business reputation for Vectric and Mach3. Though it fixes a problem so that you can make it working.
I'm a bit puzzled since it is not a kind of crack.
